CNCU has introduced two Visa prepaid cards for our members.

What is a prepaid card?

A prepaid card is a pay-as-you-go payment card. It is a convenient alternative to carrying cash. The Cardholder’s money is loaded onto the card, which can be used to purchase goods and services in most retail outlets or online, and to withdraw cash from ATMs. The cards can also be used abroad with prior notification. (Fees may apply).

Who can apply for a  card?

Any member of CNCU over the age of 18 years can apply.

What are the benefits?

Prepaid cards are simple and easy to use, providing speedy ways to access your credit union funds, 24 hours per day, seven days per week.:

  • Get instant access to your money at ATMs
  • Get cashback at most shops and supermarkets (wherever you see the VISA acceptance mark)
  • Pay bills or purchase goods and services the way you would with a regular credit/debit card
  • Receive customer support seven days per week

How does it work?

You arrange for funds to be paid directly into your CNCU share account by:
