Current Vacancies:

Counter Services Volunteer (Part-time) – Head Office

The main duties include cashiering, dealing with customer enquiries and some general administration.

The applicant will need to be computer literate, have good numeracy skills, and be able to work well as part of a team.

Full training will be given.

This is a part-time role with the following hours:

  • Monday: 10am to 12pm
  • Thursday: 10am to 12pm
  • Friday: 10am to 12pm

This role could be split amongst several volunteers.

Volunteer Loans Assessor (Part-time) – Head Office

Providing access to low cost loans is at the heart of the CNCU’s aims and objectives, and in order to review and approve loans we rely upon dedicated Volunteer Loans Assessors to scrutinise applications and decline or approve accordingly.

Working closely with the Credit Committee, the Volunteer Loans Assessor will review applications in accordance with guidelines and on the applicant’s ability to pay.

The applicant will need to be computer literate, have good numeracy skills, and be able to work well as part of a team.

Full training will be given.

This is a part-time role with the following hours available:

Volunteer Financial Budgeting Officer (Part-time) – Head Office

The primary objective of CNCU’s Ethics, Values and Principles is to promote sound financial management by encouraging members to save rather than borrow. We specialise in helping people on low incomes, and/or those who face problems managing their finances.

Working as part of a team, you will provide budgeting advice and assistance to members who require help with financial management.

The applicant will need excellent communication skills, be computer literate, have good numeracy skills, and be able to work well as part of a team.

Full training will be given.

This is a part-time role with the following hours available:

Volunteer Community Champions (Part-time) – Various Locations across South Cheshire

As a Community Champion you are a vital part of the development of the credit union. Your local knowledge and experience helps us to connect with the community and keep in touch with what our members expect from us.   As a Community Champion you would give your time and enthusiasm to:

  • Set up and serve our members at a local community collection point in libraries and other community venues across South Cheshire
  • Promote the benefits of membership to the people of your community
  • Attend and make presentations about the credit union to local organisations
  • Keep us informed about opportunities and events in your area

We would expect a commitment of two hours per week for this role.
